I have been shooting the Maryamma Feast in Mumbai for over two years and it was the first time I spotted the Hijras here at Maryamma Temple Macchimar Colony Mahim.
These Hijras had come from Mulund, as a person whom they considered their brother was participating in the body piercing procession of the Maryamma Feast here.
They were there for some time and as the procession reached Mori Road close to Mahim Station they left.
