Laxmi The Beggar Hijda of Turner Road

June 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

laxmi
the beggar hida
turner road traffic signal
her humble abode
an address no zip code
greeted by her smile
the moment you
hit the road
a few coins into her
hand download
the hijda
at crossroads
by the cops elbowed
haftagiri
all bestowed
the system sucks
a poetic ode
the chakra of pain
in auto mode
life unlived
value for money
a thought erode
karma dharma
that you free load
an environment
that you corrode
what remains
is just sheer shitload

this laxmi is a poor mans laxmi.. laxmi means goddess of wealth…

Old Hijda Mujra Dancer From Delhi

June 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

empty hopes
lost dreams
faded pages
of courtesan life
all gone
in flames
leaving behind
embers
in a cavernous
belly
feudal fragrance
now gone smelly
said the
old mujra hijda
dancer from delhi

once thet flocked
rajas maharajas
nawabs zamindars
to see me dance
to hear my
melodious voice
young virile prince s
some college boys
seeking me
paying homage
to me
in their benz
chevrolet
old rolls royce
yes the British Raj
my eyes get moist
a flag of dead
departed love
time wont hoist
those were the days
we did rejoice
I became a hijda
a mujra dancer
I had no choice
we the children
of a lesser god
were made
for the rich
to be used
abused
misused
mud like
flesh like
thrown away
useless
toys

There was sadness in her eyes , I felt sorry as she accusingly told me her story in poetic pictorial silence…a Hijda Mujra Dancers Tale

tune mujhe hijda banaya hai

behamdardi
behrahmi se mera
mazak udaya hai
upperwale tune
na aurat na mard
mujhe hijda banaya hai
teri galiyon mein
maine apna sab lutaya hai
ghungu bandkar
pairon ne
kya kya dikhaya hai
khwajah ke darbar main
maine
tujhko paya hai
teri rehmat ka
farishta jisne
humko
apna banaya hai
shayad isi liye
tune mujhe hijda banaya hai
tute katore main askhkon ko
samaya hai
enhi ashkon ko
mohabaat ka samandar banaya hai
hijda ne aaj tan dhan man
se thujh par sab lutaya hai
garib nawaz ne es bar phir
humko ajmer bulaya hai
meri kushnasibi
ke meri zindagi
par bhi unka saya hai
shukr
hai
tune mujhe hijda banaya hai

The Aravani Hijda Queen

June 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

The Aravani Hijda Queen
Dancing on a drum
for the drummer boy it is routine
At Haji Malang was seen
trying to touch the Gods
in the sky this beauty
evergreen..
she born a in between
catapulted as
koovagam queen
on a hijda magazine
soon as an item girl
on the bollywood screen
this hijda mean machine..
with looks of a sweet sixteen

The Hijda Mujra Dancing Queen

June 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

trangendered trauma
of a hijda mujra dancing queen
she dances at private
parties
where often she is seen
jhatkas matkas
a beauty evergreen
she was biologically
a young boy a teen
pretty feminine
lithe and lean
at school
she was raped
at home
by her tutor
in between
she ran away from home
joined a band of hijdas
with them she was seen
castrated made clean
her fame spread far and wide
she took a shot as an extra
on the bollywood silver screen
but the filmi world was cruel
and mean
the other dancers heads
hearts turned
envious and green
they created a scene
so she fled from tinsel town
our hijda mujra dancing queen
politicians seek to
pleasure her
hijda sexuality
an exotic cuisine
she a dichotomy
of an engendered pain
duplicity obscene
neither woman nor man
this androgynous amorphous
mujra dancing machine
ghungroos on her feet
the dancing floor
rave parties routine
this mirage of a hijda dance life
raucous laughter
as you read it
coming to
life
on your computer screen
dont shed tears
on my death says
the hijda
mujra dancing queen

This Hijda picture is for representational purpose , I shot of a Hija dancing the Mujra at a friends birthday party. She was fleet footed , superb dancer ….

The Hijda Incomplete Man Incomplete Woman

June 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

i met this hijda in the train
pushpak expess heading towards
the gangetic plain
she who was born
an incomplete man
a tarnished testicular testimony
manacled in silken chain
she became incomplete
woman fallopian tubes
uterus in her imagination
all slain
menstrualmachinations
nogoddamnedstain
burning
like a wick at both ends
no complain
timeless tears
entrapped in a grain
love comes
love goes
love she cannot obtain
orgiastic oscillations
on a pendulum
she cannot sustain
oh bhauchara mata
your blessings
showered
bring me home again
a hijda a human hurricane
what i was not born with
how can i retain
the agony of a
broken windowpane
shattered sorrow
trembling so humane

I start a new series of Hijdas , pictures shot on the train while going to Lucknow to participate in Ashura, I had not seen these pictures at all.I let them age , pickled , curried on my CD’s.
Moharam pictures tire me out, the blood flow, the pathos , so I took this deviaton.
All day from 2 pm till 7 pm, I had my Belgian photographer friend Marc de Clerq , he has reached Mumbai from Chennai, he dropped in at my shop, than I bought him home for lunch, he is connected to Planet Gender, he has done his Masters in Photography..he shoots transgender all over the world..he shoots 6/6 , that can be blown to about a meter.
After lunch I took him to St Peters Church Bandra, I shot him against the statue of Jesus Christ, from there I took him to Mount Marys Church, he shot pictures with his digital Leica and a twin reflex Rolleiflex that he bought in Chennai, with a 2.8 Planar lens .
We came back to the shop, discussed photography , he will be staying at Laxmis house , shooting Hijdas in their natural surroundings.. I also made him dress like me and shot a few pictures with a saffron turban..
This is the power of the Internet to connect you to someone you never knew ,I called up Subash my camera friend to help Marc get back his stolen Haselblad equipment in case the thief plans to sell the stuff here in Mumbai…

A Hijda Holds Me Tight

June 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

the hijda snuggled
on the train
like a lost soul
on a stormy night
i could feel the
excitement
of her heart’s
ringtones
when she held me tight
my wife was shooting
all this did she
of our hijdaeroticness
in the viewfinder
have any insight
or as a sensitive woman
the fear of her foresight
the hijda’s paranoid
the hijda’s faked
momentous delight
trying hard
my languishing libido
excite
something was not
quite right
i had no hijda
appetite
that hijda meeting me
first time
was trying to ignite
this poet
photographer
born a shiite
irascible
shadows
incandesently sodomized
sometimes shooting hijdas
is under your own ass
lighting a dynamite
pictures painted
in candlelight
an androgynous god
who treacherously
holds on to a hijdas copyright
freakazoid fancy of a flight

I am a Hijda

June 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I am a Hijda, originally uploaded by firoze shakir photographerno1.

I am a Hijda , a deleted file that you bought back momentarily to life from the dead .

a stab a bullet wound , bleeding misfortunes attached to an arrowhead

a misspelt journal bequeathed besmirched besotted unread

yes once my aggrandized megalomania had gone to my head

squirming my way into the mainstream of miasmic memories instead

i am what i am merely a figurehead my cybernetic notoriety handcuffed to a silken thread

seeking invoking a goddess as i slither whither on my karmic dharmic death bed

tears from a dry stream parched i shed

the color of religious pain red

emotional corpuscles

vying for attention

of this shia thug dumbhead

precariously perched

like a weather cock

in a heart

that is not

a

homestead

The Metrosexual Hijda Of Mumbai

June 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

transsexual tyranny
tragic transvestism
transgendered titillations
a temerity testify
a tearful tragedy
tongue tie
traumatic tamasha
terrorisingly terrify
timbre toned
tamponless
typify

menstrual machinations
menopausal memories misapply
masculinity mummify
metaphorically mystify
meet the metrosexual hijda of mumbai
mindless meanderings mortify
myopic misunderstndings magnify

The Metrosexual Hijda stands out baring his angst, amorphous androgynous fears, at the crossroads carrying the crucifix of a transgendered tyranny hellishly hijdafied….
a little tear felon the parched surface of the earth … yes the hijda cried.
DIG IT -DIE DIGNIFIED.

I was hit by a speeding
Journalist juggernaut
Jawbreaking
Blogspot blog
Goshdarn it
Does it MATTer
Who did it
Keep it legal
Said the wit
Legalese
Cleavaged split
What a hypocrite
Copy cats
My friend
My enemies
All misfit
No I did not try
To outwit
A stage managed skit
I am in quarantine
No clean chit
Blogger twit
Courtesy lines
That I did not omit
In case I die
Let these lines
Be My Obit
My wrists
I slit
Funereal silence
Of my armpit
The Dunce cap
On my head
Wont fit
Laxmi Narayan
Tripathi
What people have to say
Some more bullshit
Me and my colorful outfit
Some cybernetic tidbit

Hijdaeroticness
How can I quit
Hijacked heroics
In a Plain cockpit

This picture was taken by Kennedy ,the closest I could get to Laxmi without breaching the sanctity of her Hijdaeroticness..Goshdarnit..
This title is inspired by the whizz kids of WordPress..Mind Over Matter ..No it does Not Matter ..you get what you dont want on a silver platter ..my poems my pictures on the cybernetic square feeding pigeons I scatter ..yes Word Press Mad Hatter..post haste chatter monotony of living in a man woman world with the lives of Hijdas I shatter.
