Raju Srivastav the event organiser called me several times to remind me that Gopal Bhai was calling him from Delhi.. for the pictures.

This is Gopal bhai Monas foster father showering money on her as a blessing, and to keep away the evil eye , and this is known in Urdu as Sadka Utarna, the showered money will be given to the poor and needy.

At the dance bars to the clients shower the dancing girls with loads of money, and sometimes garlands of Rs 100 notes and this is their way of appreciation, for a particular dancer.Here it is father and daughter, and daughter Mona making a public appearance on a Mumbai stage for the first time.And when Gopal bhai asked me about Monas pictures , I said go to an internet cafe and call me from there, so I can instruct the Cafe guy about my site, Gopal Bhai said matter of factly he has his own laptop and internet connection

.And my own site is showing a 404 error powered by Coppermine and my son Asif Shakir should come and sort it out…and people nowadays see pictures and dont read journal entries.

When Raju Srivastav told Mona that I was connected to Bollywood, she became excited and became my best friend, telling me about her favorite actor Salman Khan, John Abraham, and Preity Zinta, and this was a nonstop running railway train of a conversation, I nodding my head to questions that were also answers.

And we had met in the course of the day,in totality it must have been a few hours till Mona took to the stage, and I have got those pictures too.

I just called up Mr Raju Srivastav the hotelier who was one of the organisers of the All India Hijda Sammelan, that was recently at Parksite Vikhroli…I told him that I was posting Monas picture on the Net.

I got a call from Mr Raju Srivastav last evening at 7 pm, he invited me to the inaugration of his new restaurant Pratha near Filmcity Road Dindoshi Goregaon East .

I tried to make an excuse as this area is almost an hour by rickshah from Bandra but I was indebted to Raju Srivastav for all the help he gave me in allowing me to shoot the Eunuchs, and I know some of the older Eunuchs were not to happy with my saffron clad presence, and my turban and my mystical Bawa appearance.

So I changed at the shop, the new jacket and dhoti, reached Pratha the new restaurant, a 48 seater with a garden too, purely vegetarian , I had a Russian sandwich and a slurpy pav bhaji and after many a excuse made my way home, not before Raju bhai reminding me that Monas father was asking for her pictures.

And now he told me the Truth about Mona s birth, Mona was born a eunuch and her biological parents gave the child away when it was one day old.

She has a eunuch mother Babita , a normal male father Gopal Bhai are foster parents.

I dont know much about Mona , but Mona has extremely good and caring parents, who love her and this is what matters in the End.

This was after a break in the show at the all India Hijda Sammelan, Nitin Sonawane the press photographer for Times of India shot this as a keepsake for me.
